So let’s say PewDiePie created a video about :Woah VickyĮventually this become a mainstream meme that spreads to other youtubers: sometimes in the middle of the video something would spark my interest and I would start to investigate the mentioned subject by google or youtube or in social media. so adventures start with the “quest giver”, i would start watching a video finish it maybe going to the channel of the video to see if there is something interesting or continue to watch suggested video. To demonstrate what I mean by “adventure”I’ll take you on a journey of a random adventure I experience few days ago. The Adventures are very elusive experience it’s very hard to try to create one on purpose, my experience is quite random, i’ll open youtube and let him suggest my interesting videos,I don’t decide in advance what i’m going to watch i just rule with the algorithm a see how this adventure will take part.Īn adventure will reveal itself over a course of few hours days or weeks
Is youtube a game? Any good game need some rules, some are clear and simple others are undefined and vague, some attracts the casual gamer and other attracts the pro gamer. We can discuss the credibility of wikipedia as a source of information but this is a topic for a different article Reliability of Wikipedia. Many games help develop practical skills, serve as a form of exercise, or otherwise perform an educational, simulational, or psychological role.” Games generally involve mental or physical stimulation, and often both. Goals, rules, challenge, and interaction. They can be played alone, in teams, or online by amateurs or by professionals”. ”Games are sometimes played purely for entertainment, sometimes for achievement or reward as well. ”A game is a structured form of play, usually undertaken for enjoyment and sometimes used as an educational too”. At first I found the videos through social media or sites like 9GAG, and over the years youtube algoritem was improved so i could find the content through youtube itself. I love watching some videos while I’m eating, the act of watching random video gave my brain time to think and reflect on what I was doing. I was a very hardworking student the only time I allowed myself to procrastinate was during meals.
My “romance” with youtube started about 5–6 years ago i was a “poor” student with no money for any tv service but with broadband connection to the internet. In this article i would suggest to take a look at youtube in a different way, in my opinion, youtube is the best game ever created. So I apologise if you wanted to learn more about pewdiepie ( felix im sorry :) I go from "the gameplay could be improved to fit the storyline" to "the gameplay is fucking shit and the only good point is the storyline. At first i wanted to call this article “Youtube is the best game in the world” but I decided to be more clickbaity. The more people bitch about how I'm wrong, the more I hate the game and the worse my opinion of it gets. It's so frustrating, and it only makes me talk shittier about the said game. If they didn't have those jumpscares to spook them into being alert again? It would constantly be called boring.īut you say this where a fan can hear? They'll defend it down to their life, and somehow argue "well I'm not saying it's flawless." They refuse to accept any criticism for the game, and then deny they are. The only reason people don't get bored is because those cheap jumpscares trick them into not being bored. And the sequels aren't much better there's vague changes, but 90% of it stays the same. I don't know why it's so popular and why it's always praised when this is the reality. I want to work hard for the extra slivers that paint the whole story, but I don't want to work extra hard for the slivers of the basic story. And fans go 'WELL THAT'S SPOONFEEDING.' No. The point-and-click doesn't work for it, and it needs something to tie it together. And honestly, the only time I enjoy the game is in the story. You weed through the 90% of the game that is point-and-click with cheap jumpscares to keep you interested, and you get rewarded with little slivers of story. It would have done better as some rpg maker pixel game, with the story it has. And you can argue all you want about 'it's a cheap indie game,' but there's no reason I can't legitimately criticize it. As if pumping out a new sequel every couple of months doesn't hurt it. There's a problem in the FNAF community about people acting like this game is perfect. And I don't mind if you disagree with me.īut when you get upset when I state my own feelings about the game on my dumb blog, I get annoyed.
